Demystifying Requirements Handling – Business Experiences at REWE Digital
Con.Ect Business Academy in Vienna,
For most of the digital retail companies, classical requirements management is completely in the hands of the customer or the business analysts. Development teams mostly implement solutions based on predefined design, but they hardly contribute
to define what is the problem we are trying to solve. With the introduction of Agile methodologies, the development teams have become key players when it comes to gathering and evaluating customers’ demands. In this talk we will see how one of the successful German digital retailers, REWE Digital, is demystifying the old requirement management process and evolving towards an Agile approach.
Keynote at the Hustef Budapest 2018
‘Breaking silos within cross-functional teams’!
When agile methods were introduced , we faced a new challenge: how to be cross functional? How to be a tester with developer background? Introducing Agile methodologies and setting up Scrum/Kanban teams in organizations brings a tremendous change in the way traditional software development was produced. This talk is about hands-on experience, how spreading skills among Scrum team members, supported by a T-Shape Community of Practice as company strategy, nurtured a learning culture within the Agile organization, broke the traditional silos of expertise, and increased the efficiency of the teams and the people who worked in them.
User Conference on Advanced Automated Testing (UCCAT) in Paris, October 2018.
Opening Keynote ‘DevOps and people: where automation begins!’
‘Automate everything!’ is the message continuous delivery drivers broadcast… and this is great! Introducing test automation enormously steps up the quality of any product, and continuous integration is playing an essential and decisive role in the world of software development.
What we should not overlook is, the key role people play as automation enablers. When it comes to complex DevOps scenarios, as it is the case in the telecommunication world, the recipe for success is the intensive collaboration of all parties involved.
Here we take a closer look at some scenarios where developers and operators go for broke in order to achieve an outstanding DevOps success story.
